Job Description
Heidedal/Piekenierskloof Vrugte (Pty) Ltd is a well established and progressive producer of citrus, stone fruit, rooibos tea and wine vineyards. They also operate their own fruit packing facility in the Citrusdal area.
Due to continuous growth and expansion the following career opportunities became available.
ACCOUNTANT
The incumbent will report directly to the Financial Manager.
Responsibilities will, amongst others, include:
- Month end and general journals
- Intergroup loans
- Entries of loan interest
- VAT
- Debtors
- Management accounts
- Specific cost accounting matters
- Specific reconciliations
- Management of internal and external enquiries
- Diverse tasks as required from time to time.
- Appropriate tertiary qualification supported by proven experience
- Advanced MS Excel and Pastel
- Good time management and punctuality regarding deadlines.
The incumbent will work closely with the Accountant.
Responsibilities will, amongst others, include:
- Coordination and verification of purchase orders
- Punctual and accurate capturing, management and reconciliation of creditors
- Bank reconciliations
- Check and management of documentation
- Managing enquiries effectively.
- Applicable and proven experience
- Ability to function accurately under pressure
- Meeting deadlines
- Skilled user of Pastel and MS Excel
- Good communicator and self-sufficient team player.
