to join our Group Finance team. This role is integral to managing group services accounts, with a strong focus on e-commerce transactions, intercompany reconciliations, and foreign creditors/receivables. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have sound knowledge of accounting principles, and understand operational IT systems. The role also includes managing a small team.
Key Responsibilities
E-Commerce
Oversee all online sales platforms, ensuring accurate reconciliation and integration with accounting systems.
Monitor and reconcile daily e-commerce revenue.
Test and implement new developments in the e-commerce environment.
Maintain relationships with third-party payment providers.
Resolve all queries relating to online transactions.
Foreign Creditors & Imports
Manage foreign currency transactions, including calculation and accounting of exchange rate impacts.
Reconcile foreign bank accounts.
Oversee costing processes and systems for imported stock.
Financial Reporting & Reconciliation
Prepare and process journals, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and support month-end/year-end closes.
Assist with financial reporting and provide documentation for audits.
Intercompany & Group Services
Manage and reconcile intercompany accounts and transactions.
Capture and receipt stock payments.
Cash Books & Accounts Receivable
Manage a small debtor's book, invoicing, and payment options.
Review bank reconciliations and assist with daily transfers.
Staff Management
Lead and develop a small finance team.
Allocate tasks and review work.
Provide coaching, training, and performance management.
Requirements
Education & Experience
Degree or diploma in Accounting.
3-5 years' experience in a similar role within an accounting department.
Skills
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with Sage, TradeCloud, Salesforce, or order management systems is advantageous.
Solid understanding of accounting principles and VAT.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate across departments with attention to detail and accuracy.
