Job Description

We are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our team for a role based in Woodstock, Cape Town. The successful candidate, ideally holding a CIMA qualification with completed articles, will be responsible for the entire finance function, including month-end reporting procedures, budgeting, as well as preparation and submission of monthly tax returns. Group experience is highly valued and Immediate availability is crucial. The initial contract term is for 3 months with an opportunity to go permanent.
Job Duties:

• Full Finance Function: Managing and executing the complete finance function, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Month-End Reporting: Execute month-end reporting procedures, including journal entries, reconciliations, management accounts and financial statement preparation.
• Budgeting: Contribute to the budgeting process, providing valuable insights and financial analysis.
• Group Experience: Demonstrate expertise in group accounting principles and practices.
• Tax Returns: Prepare and submit accurate and timely tax returns, staying up to date with current tax regulations.
• Audit Liaison: Collaborate effectively with auditors, facilitating a smooth audit process.

• CIMA (preferred), SAICA, SAIPA, ACCA with completed articles.
• Proven experience in a full finance function role.
• Strong understanding of month-end reporting procedures.
• Budgeting expertise.
• Experience in group accounting.
• Tax return preparation skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience using Xero (advantageous).
• Exposure to Europe and Africa regions (advantageous).
