Job Summary Does working for a world leading, international advisory firm specializing in services for sport, media and entertainment industries excite you? Then read further! My client is seeking Business Manager for their newly opened SA entity! You will get exposure to major international bands and recording artists, actors, professional sports persons, entrepreneurs, and a number of companies focussed within the creative/arts industries. You will be highly articulate and confident working directly with clients, both local and international who expect a discrete, highly confidential service. You will also be a dynamic team player, comfortable working with both the London & SA office teams and on multiple assignments concurrently. Responsibilities: Setting up payments for the clients Posting purchase invoices for the clients suppliers Raising sales invoices for the clients customers Reconciling agency statements Reconciling clients bank account on a daily, weekly and quarterly basis Preparing and filing quarterly VAT returns for the clients on Sage Entering journals on Sage Reconciling the creditors and debtors analysis for the clients Reconciling multiple clients bank accounts Manipulating excel files to upload onto the accounting software (Sage) Being able to work on ad hoc projects when required (i.e. calling insurance companies, calling importing and exporting companies, calling VAT companies). Understanding ledger accounts such as overheads, liabilities, direct costs, income etc Requirements: BComm Finance or Accounting qualification or Part CIMA qualification Completed a SAICA/SAIPA/CIMA articles will be highly advantageous Experience working within the European/USA market, through your auditing firm (both locally and/or abroad), would also be highly advantageous Having an understanding of personal and business expenses is a massive advantage Have an understanding of receipts, expenses and transfers between all the various accounts Having an understanding of how royalties work is advantages Please note that if you have not heard from us within 2 weeks of your application, please consider it as unsuccessful for this particular role.
