Job Description
Position available for an Accountant / Bookkeeper based in Kya Sands, Johannesburg with experience in Xero (Accounting Software).
Minimum Qualifications and Experience required:
- Ideally a tertiary qualification in Accounting or related field
- Qualified by experience will also be considered
- Preferably 3 years' work experience
- Intermediate excel skills
- Computer literacy in Microsoft office essentials
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Familiarity with Xero (Accounting Software)
- Entering financial data into spreadsheets and accountancy software
- Bank reconciliation across various group entities
- Inter-company loan reconciliations
- Payment run preparations
- Monitoring and analysing accounting data and produce timely financial reports
- Assisting with monthly management accounts
- Maintain and reconcile Asset Register
- Prepare and submit monthly PAYE
- Review and maintain ledgers and prepare cash and stock reconciliations
- Capture and submit monthly payrolls
- Processing Payroll Journals and Salary control reconciliation
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
- Ensure payroll data is kept up to date
