Job Summary
A leading Consulting and Accounting firm is looking for an experienced Accountant with strong experience in the small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) environment, or a background in audit and accounting, to join their team in Bellville. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially astute professional to provide financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting services on top of basic accounting duties like cashbook processing, trial balance, and ledger management. The role is client-facing, so the successful candidate must be comfortable with direct interaction. Responsibilities:

• Preparing accurate financial reports and conducting in-depth analysis to guide client business decisions.
• Developing and managing budgets and financial forecasts to support client growth and strategic planning.
• Handling essential tasks like cashbook processing, trial balance management, and ledger maintenance.
• Providing professional advice and guidance on various financial matters.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or a related field is essential.
• Relevant professional certifications such as SAIPA (Professional Accountant (SA)) or SAICA (CA(SA)) are highly advantageous.
• Strong background in a commercial SME environment. Alternatively, a solid background in audit and accounting.
• Experience with financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting.
• Proficiency in core accounting duties, including cashbook processing, trial balance management, and ledgers.
