THE FOLLOWING POSITION IS AVAILABLE AT SIZA WATER ACCOUNTANT (REF: FIN/02/2025)

The successful applicant is required to perform the following key functions, amongst other duties:

Process cash books and oversee banks. Maintain fixed assets, including project close outs. Handle Developer contribution transactions. Monthly Assets under Construction and Capex reports. Annual audit schedules, analysis of assets and asset disclosure. Preparation of annual financials. Oversee intercompany transactions. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations. Review and authorise creditors payments. Submit monthly VAT201, EMP201 and WHT on SARS e-filing. Assist with Income Tax submissions. Prepare prepayments schedules and maintain accruals listing. Assist with financial models, budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes. Co-ordinate the annual BBBEE recertification. Submit quarterly returns to Stats SA. Administration duties of the Employee Share Trust. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, best practice and internal controls. Ensure deadlines are met.

The applicant is required to have

:

Post graduate degree in Accounting or Finance. Completed Articles at a recognised audit firm. 3 years of experience in accounting. Experience in Utilities or Public Private Partnership is advantageous. Computer proficient in Office 365 and SAP. Driver's license - code EB/08

Skills and Capabilities:

Attention to detail. Knowledge of IFRS, IFRIC 12 and Taxation. Ability to work under pressure. Problem-solving mindset. Ability to work collaboratively with other departments. Innovation mindset focused on improving efficiency.
