Job Description
Retail management company is looking for an experienced financial accountant to join our team based in Ballito, position is available immediately.
Responsibilities (not limited to the below)
? Preparation and maintenance of accurate and up-to date accounting records to trial balance for multiple entities.
? Bank statement uploads and reconciliations
? Monthly reconciliations for all general ledger and supplier accounts
? Managing supplier payments
? Preparation of monthly management reports
? Completion and submission of necessary SARS submissions ie. VAT201s
? Process month-end journals and intercompany recharges
? Process month-end and year end closing efficiently
? Preparation of year end audit packs
Qualification and experience
? Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
? Proven experience in financial accounting, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a similar role.
? Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
? Knowledge in Sage pastel will be advantageous
? Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices

? Ethical and trustworthy in handling sensitive financial data.
? Self-motivated, organized, and able to work under pressure.
? Adaptable and open to learning new systems and procedures.
? Time management - The ability to consistently meet deadlines and to work well under pressure.
? Problem solving and critical thinking
? Attention to detail and a team player
