Accountant - Manufacturing Sector | Alrode, Alberton

We are recruiting for an experienced Accountant to join a manufacturing company in the mining supply sector, based in Alrode, Alberton. This is a full-time, office-based role reporting to the CFO/CEO.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly management accounts, audit packs & year-end journals
Manage VAT, EMP201/501, provisional and income tax submissions
Forecast cash flow, manage budgets, and analyse costs
Handle asset depreciation, loan interest calculations & general ledger reconciliations
Perform stock valuations and inventory audits
Oversee Accounts Payable and ensure accurate reconciliations
Generate reports (sales, WIP, performance, non-conformance) for management
Analyse job cards vs BOMs and budgets
Ensure production readiness by monitoring raw material levels
Develop SOPs and support audits/compliance
Assist with digital marketing: content uploads, social media, and campaigns
Requirements:
Relevant degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong knowledge of tax, reporting & compliance
Proficiency in Sage, Pastel, or similar accounting systems
Strong Excel skills; ERP system experience advantageous
Bonus: Familiarity with digital marketing tools
