Job Description

Synopsis



To assist with management of processes that contribute towards specific programme objectives which include pipeline building, preparing, sourcing, assessing and reviewing of applications; preparing reports and submissions that contribute towards specific fund objectives. To pro-actively provide value-adding and strategic advice, support and guidance to the programme and relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities



Managing of application and submission process Basic deal assessment prior to accepting deal into pipeline for deal evaluation / due-diligence and manage ad hoc enquiries on the Programme Deal evaluation / due-diligence as per current IDC definition (all disciplines) Ensuring that the deal is aligned with the strategic objectives of the fund and will contribute to meeting industry development goals Identify all risks (pre and post investment) and defining mitigation plans to minimize these risks Designing and negotiating the financial and legal relationship between the client and IDC for the specific deal (including the terms and conditions of IDC funding and the rights and obligations of all parties involved in the deal) Co-ordinating IDC team and other stakeholders around the transaction Perform Post Investment Management functions for a portfolio of clients Operational assistance to portfolio of clients in order for the company to become profitable and meet financial obligations to IDC.

Qualification and Experience

Formal qualifications




Minimum qualification: relevant commercial/technical Degree with Honours or equivalent financial qualification.

Experience




5 - 8 years Industry/ Sectors Operational experience 2 to 4 years Deal Origination and Assessment experience Financial assessment and modeling experience Exposure with funding SME's is an advantage Understanding commercial implications of legal and financial decisions Understanding effect of various structures and instruments on risk and returns
