campus on a permanent basis.
The Position:
To manage the day-to-day delivery of lecturing of Humanities qualifications at the
Mowbray
campus and all online offerings for the Faculty

Minimum Requirements
Minimum qualification:
Relevant Master's degree in the field of Humanities or Social Sciences
Experience:
At least five years' experience as a lecturer in the higher education industry
Either demonstrated management potential or management experience of at least two years
Publishing of academic journals will be advantageous
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
As the Academic Programme Convener, you will be primarily responsible for the following:
Accountability areas - operating / financial results accountable for:
+ Accountable for the operational delivery of lecturing related to Humanities programmes at the Mowbray campus (lecturer performance)
+ Accountable for the performance of the community of practice and alignment with development hub Operational process outputs:
+ Qualification related subject matter expertise
+ Manage academic delivery / managing the lecturers Lecturing:
+ Fulfil the role of lecturer as required and agreed - but the main focus of the role is to manage academic delivery / managing the lecturers Management:
+ Budgets
- Input into academic budget
- ICA claims processing
+ Operational planning
+ Monitor, control and corrective action
+ Reporting
+ Escalations, decisions and problem solving - first point of contract for student complaints
+ Resourcing and capacity management (people and equipment) Leadership
+ Assistance with talent acquisition, selection and onboarding
+ Individual performance management
+ Culture, climate and change

Functional and technical competencies:
Computer literacy - well developed MS Office skills
Working knowledge of learning systems (LMS)
