The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Officer to join our Customer Experience team at our Cape Town Office. In this role, you will deliver positive outcomes to our business customers while performing your duties in a friendly and reliable manner.

This opportunity has the potential for you to grow onto the corporate ladder . We’re flexible on hours and days of work, though as a guide, you’ll be needed for at least 8 hours per day, for up to 40 hours p/week. No weekend work is required.

We’re looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a calming nature, enthusiasm, experience with managing data within a CRM, and a team player. You will appreciate existing processes and procedures and be a part of embedding new ones while working in a small, motivated, and friendly customer service team.

Key Responsibilities:

Be the first point of contact for our customers, answering inbound phone calls and emails,
Manage flooring orders per customer requirements and in line with set KPI and SLA targets,
Demonstrate an ability to build rapport and develop relationships with your team and all customers,
Liaise with the Supply Chain and Sales teams to provide timely updates regarding orders,
Provide information about VA products, services, prices, and trading terms to our business customers, consumers, and end users.
Rectify errors such as incorrect pricing, stock deliveries and coordinates the collection, credit and/or reissue of correct stock,
Recognise and escalate situations when required.
Participate in regular Customer Service team meetings to plan, review and train.

About you:

Experience working with customer needs to achieve quality outcomes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to plan, prioritise, organise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Analyse issues from different perspectives, troubleshoot and draw solutions from available information
Make decisions that reflect active listening, through evaluation of information, and consideration of consequences to propose effective solutions.
Be a team player: hard-working, approachable, and ready to get the job done!
Have a good understanding of CRM software and can navigate telephone & IT systems confidently.

Technical Skills:

1+ years working in a customer service environment
Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics Navision or similiar ERP/CRM system (training provided)
Proficient computer skills; including MS Excel and Outlook
Knowledge of sales and sports industries would be highly regarded
