Main purpose of the job

This position is responsible for the direction and management of the financial operations function of Finance within the Procure-to-Pay Unit. This specifically relates the university wide activities around procurement, supplier payments as well as insurance.

Main tasks

1. Development of Policies, Procedures & Controls

2. Management of Procure-to-Pay and Insurance

3. Staff Management & Development

4. Reporting

5. Process Improvement

Minimum salary scale

(Total Cost to Company)

R 1 386 060 per annum

(2024 Salary Scales to be determined)

Minimum Qualification/ Knowledge and/or

Experience

xc2xb7 B Com Honours or NQF L8 qualification with specialisation in Supply Chain / Logistics Management/ Finance

xc2xb7 7 years related experience in Procurement/ Supply Chain Management including:

o Contract management

o BBBEE

o Infrastructure procurement

o Project management

o Procurement-to-Pay

xc2xb7 5 years should be at Management level in Supply Chain Management or Procurement

Desired Qualification, Knowledge and/or Experience

xc2xb7 CIPS registration

xc2xb7 Completed Articles (SAICA or SAIPA)

xc2xb7 Understanding of NEC contracts

xc2xb7 Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects experience
