We are seeking four experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) who are NICU-trained to join our dedicated Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3 years' hands-on NICU experience, demonstrating advanced clinical skills and a deep commitment to providing exceptional care for critically ill and premature newborns.
1. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
Deliver specialized nursing care to neonates requiring intensive medical attention
Monitor and assess the condition of newborns, administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Operate and maintain neonatal life support equipment (ventilators, incubators, etc.)
Collaborate closely with neonatologists, pediatricians, and allied healthcare professionals
Educate and support families, offering clear communication on infant care and treatment plans
Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive patient records
Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and health and safety regulations
Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives within the NICU
Qualifications & Requirements:
Registered Nurse with a valid license (SANC or equivalent regulatory body)
Completed NICU training/qualification or post-basic Neonatal Nursing Science
Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a Level II or III NICU setting
Proven ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
Excellent clinical judgment, attention to detail, and compassionate bedside manner
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
BLS and NRP certification required (ACLS/PALS an advantage)
2. CRITICAL OUTPUTS
Effective cost management for staff and stock by
Evaluating employee labour hours and manage debit and credit hours
Minimising unnecessary stock wastage and facilitating maintenance of equipment
Providing quality patient care by
Identifying and ensuring staff undergo department specific micro-orientation
Ensuring daily care rounds are conducted and investigating complaints
Providing accurate, appropriate and adequate information to patients and family members during hospitalization
Administering of medication in accordance to ethical, legal framework
Review and comply with internal policies and protocols
Interacting and communicating with a multi-disciplinary team
Conducting in-service orientation on Unit specific preferences
Providing effective risk management (infection control) by
Monitoring and implementing preventative measures to minimize risk
Comply with ISO/DOH/ OSCH requirements in order to facilitate infection control
Ensuring the effective functioning of equipment and instrumentation
Ensuring effective and accurate record keeping
Conducting effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Identifying doctor's preferences and stakeholders needs and implement in the working environment

4. REQUIREMENTS
Valid RN license in the state of practice.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in emergency, critical care, or trauma nursing.
Experience in a Private Hospital will be advantageous
Certification in Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required.
BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
