Job Summary

Team Leader Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor the daily duties and responsibilities of the staff in your team.
• Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.
• Monitor team performance and compile reports.
• Motivate team members.
• Always practice effective and professional communication when interacting with team members and other departments.
• Will be required to handle conflict that may arise between team members.

Animator Responsibilities:

• Using technical software packages, such as Flash, 3ds Max, Maya and Blender.
• Building up accurate, detailed, frame-by-frame visuals.
• recording dialogue and working with editors to composite the various layers of animation (backgrounds, special effects, characters, and graphics) to produce the finished piece.
• Working as part of a broader production team, which might include liaising with printers, copywriters, photographers, designers, account executives, website designers or marketing specialists.
• Design 3D animations using specialized computer animation programs.
• Design animated movies, video games, and TV shows, and add animations to other forms of media.
• Work with a team of animators, designers, and developers to turn animations into a fully functional product.
• Revise animations based on feedback.
• Participate in brainstorming and problem-solving sessions.
• Meet project deadlines and work efficiently within a team environment.
• Assist in optimizing and preparing 3D assets for real-time applications.
• Collaborate with the creative team to create 3D assets, models, textures, and animations for various projects.
• Work on modelling, texturing, rigging, lighting, and rendering of 3D assets.
• Ensure the quality and consistency of 3D assets across projects.
• Adapt to various artistic styles and project requirements.

Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

Qualifications: Grade 12 (Matric).

Experience: Industry relevant experience required. Experience in a leadership role will be highly advantageous.

Skills:

• Must have exceptional computer literacy.
• Strong passion and drive for 3D animating.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Willingness to lead, take charge and responsibility.
• Proficiency in 3DS MAX; experience with Maya and Blender is a plus.
• Strong understanding of 3D modelling, texturing, lighting, and animation.
• Excellent problem-solving and creative skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to different project requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Time management skills to meet project deadlines.
