324 Senior Internal Auditor (P8)
VICE-CHANCELLOR AND PRINCIPAL| Internal audit
Bloemfontein Campus
Main purpose of the job
To support the Chief Audit Executive in the management and execution of the Annual Internal Audit Operational Plan, and other related Strategic Plans in accordance with the approved CUT Internal Audit Policies and Procedures.
Main tasks
- Facilitate the performance of audit engagements
- Facilitate the follow-up process
- Facilitate the performance of the work by assurance providers
- Combined Assurance
- Stakeholder Relations Management and Liaison
- Quality Assurance and Improvement program
- Provide support to the CAE for strategic leadership and the management of the Internal Audit Unit
Minimum salary scale (Total Cost to Company): R 756 517 per annum (2026 salary scales to be confirmed)
Note: CUT applies an internal parity model to determine remuneration that complies with the principle of equal pay for work of equal value. Accordingly, the preferred candidate may expect an offer that is in line with their qualifications and years of similar experience. Minimum Qualification/ Knowledge and/or Experience
- B.Tech: Internal Auditing or equivalent qualification.
- Five (5) years experience in Internal Auditing.
- Three (3) years supervision experience.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
- Membership with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIASA) is compulsory.
- Certified Information System Auditor (CISA).
- Certified Professional Internal Auditor (PIA).
- Principal Certified Internal Auditor (PCIA).
- Four (4) or more years of experience as a supervisor.
