About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Level 2 Service Desk Engineer to join our Managed Services team. In this role, you will manage escalated technical issues, provide advanced support across a diverse client base, and ensure an excellent customer experience at all times. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior engineers, contributing to knowledge base improvements, and upholding high technical and service delivery standards.
Key Responsibilities
Take ownership of escalated support issues, ensuring they are resolved in a timely and professional manner.
Provide advanced administration and support for Microsoft 365, Intune, and Entra.
Configure and support networking equipment, including routers and switches.
Manage and support infrastructure across Meraki, Cisco, and DrayTek technologies.
Support and maintain virtual environments (Hyper-V, VMware).
Utilise monitoring, antivirus, backup, and imaging tools to deliver proactive support.
Document processes, create technical guides, and contribute to continuous knowledge base improvements.
Provide mentoring, guidance, and support to junior engineers.
Qualifications
Secondary school education (minimum).
Strong preference for relevant certifications, such as:
Microsoft Associate Certifications
CompTIA A+ / N+
ITIL Foundation
Skills and Knowledge
All Level 1 capabilities, with advanced expertise in:
Microsoft 365 administration and advanced troubleshooting
Intune and Entra configuration
Networking (routers, switches, firewalls)
Virtualisation technologies (Hyper-V, VMware)
Monitoring, antivirus, backup, and imaging solutions
Understanding of ITIL practices, including incident, problem, and change management
Experience
3+ years' experience in IT support, ideally within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment.
Personal Attributes
Professional, self-motivated, and confident in handling complex technical issues.
Strong team player, with the ability to mentor and support junior staff members.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Pay: R35000,00 - R45000,00 per month
