Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:


Provide leadership and oversight across all enterprise portfolios ? Run the Bank and Build the Bank ? ensuring delivery outcomes are in line with strategy and enterprise priorities. Lead, direct and align senior portfolio managers, the Resource and Demand function, delivery assurance and systems and tooling specialists to ensure cohesive enterprise delivery and integrated portfolio management. Direct and integrate portfolio delivery to ensure balanced sequencing, manage cross-portfolio dependencies and consolidate enterprise performance reporting. Provide insight and strategic guidance on prioritisation trade-offs, enterprise delivery constraints and portfolio-level alignment with Strategy 2030. Manage the performance and development of direct reports, coach and mentor employees and promote and support career management and development in the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO). Oversee the application of defined frameworks for portfolio governance, assurance and performance, ensuring consistent standards across all delivery activities. Provide oversight of the delivery assurance function, ensuring independent, evidence-based assessments inform Steering Committee and enterprise governance decisions. Oversee the enterprise portfolio intake framework, ensuring portfolio-level assessments and sequencing by senior portfolio managers are consolidated for enterprise prioritisation. Lead enterprise resource pool governance, setting allocation principles, utilisation standards and capability requirements. Ensure consolidated demand-capacity insights prepared by the Resource and Demand function inform enterprise decision-making and recommendations. Ensure resourcing practices and portfolio-level capacity decisions adhere to governance, capability and institutional constraints. Oversee the EPMO systems and tooling, ensuring portfolio management platforms, tools, templates and data connections are fit for purpose and support consistent governance and reporting. Consolidate portfolio-level health, risk and benefit evidence summaries prepared by senior portfolio managers for the SMO to produce enterprise insights for the Executive Portfolio Steering Committee and the Governors' Executive Committee. Ensure the accuracy, transparency and readiness of enterprise performance reporting. Champion delivery discipline, performance transparency, capability development and continuous improvement across all portfolios and EPMO functions. Ensure EPMO practices support institutional maturity growth, delivery readiness and sustained value creation. * Strengthen collaboration between the SMO, Business Solutions Technology Department, Finance, Human Resources (HR), Risk and other SARB forums to enhance enterprise-wide delivery coherence and effectiveness.
