The main purpose of this position is to maintain a consistently clean and hygienic environment within the Head Office building of the South African Reserve Bank (SARB).
Detailed description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, among other tasks, the following key performance areas:
Provide support to the Team Leader: Soft Services and ensure a well-coordinated cleaning service for the SARB and other related properties.
Deliver high-quality work in cleaning services, including tasks such as to:
assume floor supervisor function related to cleaning for both day and night shifts, as and when necessary;
execute cleaning functions as per schedule;
monitor pest control activities;
ensure execution of preventative and corrective maintenance in relation to cleaning activities, including carpets, fumigation and toilets/ablutions; and
provide relief duties related to cleaning.
Display service orientation in interactions with stakeholders and engage positively with colleagues and stakeholders in one-on-one and/or meeting setups.
Comply with the expected standards and procedures for completion of tasks/activities.
Place requests for cleaning consumables and equipment on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
Report and log service requests for maintenance-related issues.
Write cleaning and inspection reports.
Monitor the delivery, usage and stock level of cleaning consumables.
* Provide report on work covered during shifts, noting resources available, consumables, stock levels, issues, observations and relevant calls.
