Job Description
We are seeking 1 x Journalist and 1 x Reporter for permanent junior roles based in East London, Eastern Cape.
Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
Journalist -
- At least 3 years of reporting or content writing for print, radio, or digital media
- Qualification: Diploma or degree in Journalism, Communication, or English
- Strong research and writing abilities
- Ability to develop community-driven stories
- Familiarity with ethical journalism practices
- Confidence in interviewing and sourcing credible information
- Minimum 3 years in field reporting, radio presenting, or multimedia storytelling
- Qualification: Diploma or certificate in Journalism, Media Studies, or Communication
- Confident on-mic and on-camera presence
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Quick thinking and ability to report live or under deadlines
- Familiarity with social media and newsroom workflows
