Job Summary Employer Description Lodge based in a Private Game Reserve in KwaZulu-Natal Our client is seeking an enthusiastic, committed Field Guide & Assistant Lodge Manager couple to join their close-knit team. This is a live-in role suited to a pair who thrive in the bush, work well in small teams and bring a positive, friendly attitude to daily operations. Key Responsibilities: Field Guide: Conduct engaging, safe game drives and bush walks Deliver exceptional guest experiences and interpretive guiding Assist with lodge and vehicle maintenance tasks Ensure compliance with safety, reserve and conservation protocols Complete daily vehicle checks and routine upkeep Support lodge operations during peak times Maintain professional communication with guests and team members Assistant Lodge Manager: Oversee daily lodge operations and guest experience Handle in-camp issues efficiently and independently Manage staff respectfully and maintain positive team dynamics Assist with stock control, ordering and basic administration Ensure rooms, public areas and camp facilities meet standards Support housekeeping, kitchen and front-of-house when needed Communicate effectively with management, guests and suppliers Qualifications Field Guide: Valid PDP and driver's license Valid First Aid Level 1 (minimum) DEAT registered FGASA Level 1 (minimum) Minimum 2 years guiding experience Assistant Lodge Manager: Hospitality Qualification is advantageous Valid driver's license First Aid Level 1 (preferred) Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role Skills Field Guide: Maintenance experience essential Assistant Lodge Manager: Strong initiative and ability to work independently Calm under pressure and confident handling in-camp issues Professional; respectful staff management skills Benefits Meals while on duty Groceries provided for off-duty days Live-in accommodation Provident fund
