This role focuses on leading video strategy and managing a YouTube channel and community. Responsibilities include producing long-form and short-form video content, supporting social media and marketing teams, and driving audience growth through compelling storytelling and technical video creation skills.
Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience in video production
• Strong copywriting skills tailored to video content
• Deep knowledge of YouTube best practices and growth tactics
• Proficiency in video editing software
• Understanding of social media and content marketing principles
• Creative storytelling ability with a visual eye, especially relating to conservation and travel themes
• Excellent written English and attention to detail
• Experience in managing and engaging online communities
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced setting
• Passion for safaris, conservation, responsible travel, and Africas natural heritage
• Bonus: Experience presenting on camera or as a producer/presenter

Candidate Responsibilities:

• Create and curate high-quality video content (storyboarding, filming, editing, publishing)
• Write SEO-friendly scripts, titles, and descriptions
• Engage and moderate YouTube community interactions
• Stay updated on YouTube trends and algorithm changes
• Manage production of social media video content and coordinate video support teams
• Implement video marketing strategies for social media, newsletters, and campaigns
• Assist with social media community management across multiple platforms
• Track and analyze YouTube analytics to inform strategies
• Collaborate with content and marketing teams for brand consistency
• Support research, fact-checking, and content sourcing
• Provide administrative and organizational support, including managing media assets
