Introduction

An exciting opportunity as DC Machine Operator (Forklift) has become available at New Clicks SA (Pty) Ltd. The role will be based in Polokwane DC and will report to the DC Supervisor.

Job description

Operate forklift trucks to move pallets within the warehouse or yard. Load and unload delivery vehicles with FMCG products following safety and quality standards. Stack goods in designated areas, ensuring stability and safe storage. Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure safe operation. Maintain accurate records of stock movements and assist with inventory counts. Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental policies. Report any equipment faults, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately. Collaborate with warehouse team members to meet daily operational targets and deadlines. Assist in warehouse housekeeping and organization to keep the work environment clean and safe. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) specific to FMCG handling and storage.

Minimum requirements

Valid forklift operator certification/license. Minimum 3 years experience operating forklifts, preferably in FMCG or warehouse environments. Basic understanding of warehouse safety protocols and health regulations. Ability to read and understand labels, dispatch documents. Good physical condition and ability to lift/move heavy loads when required. Must have Matric /Grade 12 * Clean criminal record
