We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Workshop Manager to oversee and manage our workshop operations.Key Responsibilities:

  • Workshop Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring that all repair and service tasks are performed to the highest standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, supervise, and motivate a skilled team of technicians and staff, ensuring high morale and performance.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Ensure all customer service requests are handled efficiently, maintaining excellent customer relations and ensuring repeat business.
  • Quality Control: Oversee the quality of work performed and ensure all vehicles are serviced according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
  • Inventory & Ordering: Manage workshop parts inventory, order parts when needed, and ensure the workshop is adequately stocked with tools and equipment.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations within the workshop environment.
  • Budget & Cost Management: Monitor and manage workshop budget, costs, and resources efficiently to meet business objectives.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Ensure proper documentation for all services, repairs, and workshop-related activities, including job sheets and reports.
Requirements:
  • Qualification: Minimum of a Matric or equivalent. A relevant qualification in Automotive Engineering, Workshop Management, or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Experience: At least 5 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a similar workshop management role within the automotive industry, preferably with premium or luxury brands.
  • Technical Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of automotive repair and servicing, specifically within the premium automotive sector.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to providing high-quality service and results.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve technical and operational issues efficiently.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficient in workshop management software, including parts ordering systems, job tracking, and reporting tools.
  • Valid Driverxe2x80x99s License: A valid South African driverxe2x80x99s license is required.
Desirable Skills:
  • Knowledge of premium automotive brands
  • Experience with managing workshop budgets and performance metrics.
  • Strong background in customer service and resolving client concerns effectively.
