***THIS POSITION REQUIRES MOTOR DEALERSHIP/ PROFESSIONAL WORKSHOP EXPERIENCE***
One of South Africa's largest and most respected motor groups is looking for a Workshop Manager to lead the team at one of their more unique vehicle outlets in Cape Town. This is a key leadership role where you'll be responsible for overseeing all workshop operations, ensuring the efficiency of Technicians and a Driver, maintaining accurate stock management, building effective supplier relationships, and delivering excellent customer service. You will play a vital role in ensuring high-quality workmanship, timely service, and smooth delivery. To apply, you will need a minimum of 5 years of workshop management experience within a corporate workshop environment and a strong mechanical or technical background in automotive, golf carts, or a related field. You should have proven experience in parts management and inventory control, be highly customer-service focused, have excellent supplier negotiation skills, strong planning, scheduling, and organisational abilities, as well as excellent leadership and team management capabilities. A high attention to detail with accurate record-keeping, proficiency in workshop/ERP management systems and MS Office, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also required. In addition, you'll need strong problem-solving ability, a proactive, hands-on management style, and the ability to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Job Requirements
Matric Certificate
Technical Qualification (Highly Advantageous)
A valid Drivers Licence
5 years of workshop management experience within a corporate workshop environment
Strong mechanical or technical background in automotive, golf carts, or a related field
Parts management and inventory control experience
Working knowledge of workshop/ERP management systems and MS Office
Hands-on management style
Ability to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Fully bilingual (English & Afrikaans, both written and verbal)
Impeccably well groomed and presented
