Workshop Manager
Job Description
This well-established company, with over 20 years of experience in heavy engineering, is looking for a formidable leader to take charge of a large team of artisans. The ideal candidate will be responsible for effective team management and ensuring seamless coordination and communication across relevant divisions.
Ensure compliance of time keeping
Identify specific aspects that can be optimized to boost productivity
Coordinating the allocation of work orders.
Ensuring consistent adherence to high-quality standards
Track and manage the productivity of the team
Provide progress reports to key internal staff members
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in manufacturing heavy engineering industry
Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a managerial role
Managed large teams
Skilled in Boilermaking
OHS Act legislation knowledge essential
Strong leadership skills
Thrive in high-pressure situations
Qualification:
Red seal trade Boilermaking
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
