Workshop Foreman

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring efficient job allocation, monitoring productivity, and minimizing idle time.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technicians, transferring skills and fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
Conduct accurate vehicle diagnostics and oversee repair quality in accordance with OEM standards.
Ensure all safety procedures and industry best practices are strictly followed in the workshop.
Coordinate workflow between service advisors, technicians, and parts department to optimize workshop operations.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, timesheets, and job progress.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Manage customer interactions where necessary, ensuring high-quality service delivery and satisfaction.
Use OEM and BSI systems effectively for vehicle diagnostics, repair, and reporting (BSI experience is a bonus).
Maintain tools, equipment, and workshop facilities to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

Requirements / Skills:

Must be a Master Technician with proven experience in a high-volume brand
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing workshop operations and leading teams.
Computer literate, with experience using OEM systems; BSI experience is advantageous
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Local candidate or living within 25 km of the workshop (Paarl / Wellington / Klipmuts area).

Remuneration:R30,000 R36,000 basic salary, depending on experience.
