Workshop Foreman
Job Description
Join a transport and maintenance team as a Workshop Foreman in the Western Cape!
In this role, you will be responsible for managing vehicle maintenance schedules, planning and coordinating maintenance activities, ensuring urgent breakdown response, overseeing fleet and spare parts management, and conducting quality checks on repaired vehicles. You will also lead a team within the workshop. Your expertise in diesel or forklift mechanics and transport coordination will be essential in ensuring minimal downtime, safe operations, and cost-effective performance across the fleet.
To succeed in this role, you should be a qualified Diesel Mechanic or Forklift Mechanic with at least 5 years of post-trade experience and 3 - 5 years in a management role. You must be computer literate with sound technical knowledge of trucks, forklifts, and other diesel vehicles. Strong skills in fleet management and maintenance planning as well as a valid driver's licence is essential.
