Our client is looking for a qualified Workshop Foreman to oversee the day-to-day operations
Location: Edenvale
Key requirement

• Strong leadership skills
• Proven experience of 3-5 in a similar workshop supervisory or management role
• Strong mechanical automotive repair knowledge ideally with trade qualification in motor mechanics
• Knowledge of health and safety compliance and workshop best practices
• Deep understanding of mechanical repair processes
• Ability to manage a diverse team of mechanics
• Being proactive and ensure efficient workflow, high-quality service, timely parts procurement and motivated workforce

Key responsibility

• Workshop operations and workflow management, plan, prioritize and allocate job cards and tasks to mechanics according to skillset and availability
• Ensure that job cards are completed properly by technicians
• Ensure that every vehicle receives a full check after test driven. Once full check is completed and you are happy with the proposed work to be done, hand over to the service advisor to put together a quote to the customer
• Once the job has been approved ensure that parts are ordered and delivered timeously to start the work
• If parts are taking long it is your responsibility to speed up the process
• Ensure optimal workflow throughout the workshop to minimize downtime and improve efficiency
• Monitor job progress and provide technical support or escalate issues when required
• Oversee quality control and final checks before vehicles are released to customers
