Our client is seeking an experienced Workshop Foreman to join the Cape Town team
xc2xb7 Supervise and coordinate daily workshop operations, ensuring timely completion of service and repair jobs.
xc2xb7 Diagnose and repair diesel and gas engines, including components such as transmissions, drive axles, differentials, hydraulic systems, brake systems, steering systems,
xc2xb7 Disassemble equipment to facilitate major component removal for repairs.
xc2xb7 Conduct in depth electrical diagnostics and intense repairs, such as complete harness rebuilds
xc2xb7 Refurbish customer-owned units and used stock to high standards,
xc2xb7 Oversee a team of mechanics and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
xc2xb7 Ensure adherence to safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
xc2xb7 Manage workshop schedules and job allocations to optimize productivity.
xc2xb7 Order and manage spare parts inventory, ensuring cost-effective stock control.
xc2xb7 Perform quality checks on completed repairs and maintenance work.
xc2xb7 Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and customer service reports.
xc2xb7 Liaise with customers and internal departments to provide updates and technical support.
xc2xb7 Implement and improve workshop processes to enhance efficiency and service quality.
Requirements
xc2xb7 Grade 12
xc2xb7 Forklift Mechanic Trade Test
xc2xb7 Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience in the forklift industry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
xc2xb7 Strong understanding of forklift mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
xc2xb7 Proficiency in workshop management software and MS Office Suite is an advantage.
xc2xb7 Valid drivers license required
