Key purpose of the role
The Wellness Specialist will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of health and wellbeing at Vitality. This is an impactful and meaningful role within the Wellness team, combining clinical product expertise, research acumen, and strategic insight to deliver innovative, evidence-based solutions that improve member outcomes. The role demands the ability to interpret complex data, anticipate global wellness trends, and translate insights into interventions that drive measurable impact. Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, the Wellness Specialist will influence strategic priorities, lead high-profile initiatives, and position Vitality at the forefront of health behaviour change.
Areas of responsibility
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following job functions:

Shape Thought Leadership:
Champion Vitality's position as a global leader in health behaviour change by publishing influential white papers, insight briefs, and strategic narratives that supports Vitality's strategy.

Track and Anticipate Innovation:
Maintain a forward-looking innovation tracker to identify global wellness trends and emerging opportunities; translate these into strategic recommendations that drive programme evolution.

Drive clinical engagements with employers :
Present at wellness forums and provide evidence-based recommendations as the clinical lead in employer interactions.

Shape Clinical Product Development
Apply clinical expertise to design evidence-based wellness interventions, providing clear input that strengthens the team's capability and delivers meaningful member outcomes.

Communicate Insights with Impact
Confidently analyse health and wellness data, distilling complex insights into clear, executive-level presentations and actionable recommendations that shape products and strategy.

Education and Experience
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences required,
preferably an MBChB
. A postgraduate qualification such as an MBA, MPH, or Master's in Public Health/Health Innovation/Strategy is highly desirable and will set candidates apart.
Experience:
2-5 years of proven delivery and performance in a corporate environment. Experience working for a top-tier strategy consulting firm is highly desirable, along with exposure to strategy, product development, or health innovation.
