To perform high-quality welding work using CO2 (MIG/MAG) welding techniques in accordance with company and industry standards. The welder will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components based on technical drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform CO2 (MIG/MAG) welding on structural steel, mild steel, stainless steel, or other materials as required.
Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
Set up welding equipment and adjust parameters for material thickness and specifications.
Conduct quality checks on welds to ensure integrity and compliance with quality standards.
Prepare metal surfaces by grinding, cutting, or cleaning prior to welding.
Follow health, safety, and environmental procedures and guidelines at all times.
Maintain welding tools and equipment in good working condition.
Report any defects, errors, or unsafe practices to the supervisor immediately.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality targets.
Minimum Requirements:
Valid
Trade Test Certificate
in Welding (as per national/regional standards).
Valid
CO2 Welding Accreditation Certificate
.
Proven experience in CO2 welding (minimum 2-3 years preferred).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Strong understanding of welding standards and procedures.
Knowledge of safety practices in welding and fabrication environments.
Physically fit and able to work in confined spaces or at heights if required.
