Bidvest Tank Terminals has an opportunity for a Weighbridge Clerk. This opportunity exists within the Operations Department, based in Durban, reporting to a Team Leader. The candidate must meet the following minimum criteria:

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 with Maths & Science & Proficiency in English 2 year's previous working experience Computer literate Driver's license preferred

Duties and Responsibilities

Capture all weights on vehicles for BTT on a shift basis Ensure proper line up of road vehicles prior to weighing Ensure that any scale inaccuracies are addressed and report deviations Decide to weigh in at alternate BTT scales. Report all vehicles that have not returned for weigh out to the control room Calculate differences in gross, net and tare weight variances for Sasol Ensure that discrepancies in gross, net and tare weights that are outside the acceptable tolerances are communicated to the Control Room for further instructions from the customer Collection of SAD 505 documents for excisable products Completion of RTA checklist Report all cancelled orders to the Control Room, so that SAP system can be updated accordingly Reconcile vehicles with weighbridge paperwork for all weigh in and outs Complete and monitor the issuing of the Dangerous Goods Declaration as part of the Road Traffic Act Ensure that road vehicles do not exceed the 56 000kg gross legal limits Any other duty that is in the interest of the company that is legal and lawful
