Short Description / Purpose of Job

To execute the Warranty Claim program and the Scope of Work (Technical assessments on all underground and surface critical equipment and machinery at internal and external Repair facilities) to ensure optimal life cycle of equipment and mobile machineries.

Deviation and corrective action reports are created while safe working practices are maintained with accurate feedback and always reporting.

Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

Capture all Warranty claims and Scope of Work daily on the correct transactions for processing.

Engage with Quality Artisans regarding warranties on the status of the sub-assemblies and based on the pre-inspections categorize the findings.

Co-ordinate a Warranty program to assess equipment and to identify deviations.

Capture all warranties on SAP transaction ZPM01U.

Identify warranties to be withdrawn by conducting pre-inspections on site.

Arrange inspection date with supplier.

Daily tracking of changed subs per plant on SAP IW39

Identify rejected warranties where Scope of Work can save money.

Full overhaul scope analysis on Integrated Mobile Asset Machinery

Arrange inspection date with supplier.

Coordinate the Scope of Work (normal repairs) program based on the sub-assembly pre-inspection report and the Mobile Asset intervention schedule.

Evaluate repair standards and technically evaluate quotations.

Report on progress, plan corrective action, and make information available as agreed by the Warranty claim and Scope of Work department.

Engage with Engineering personnel to discuss quality.

Apply evidence based SHE practices in alignment with set standards for safe operations.

Implement Sasol Group's risk philosophy and enterprise risk management framework.

Build and maintain positive relationships with engineers to enable all parties' full visibility on improvement opportunities.

Continuously improve own skills and knowledge. Complete, implement, and track personal development plan to attain personal performance goals.

Establish a network of internal and external experts to engage, discuss and acquire knowledge to support decision making pertaining to the Warranty claim and Scope of Work strategies.

Formal Education

Grade 12 with Mathematics, Science and English / Technical N3 with English

and Relevant Trade NQF L4

Min Experience

Five (5) years underground operational (in section) experience

Qualifications

Driver's license code 8

Valid red ticket

Excellent computer knowledge; Microsoft and SAP

Competencies

Experience: Very good knowledge of underground Mining equipment.

Analytics: The systematic computational analysis of data or statistics.

Recognize and act upon re-occurrences of failures and present opportunities to address problems.

Compliance: Understanding the rules, regulations, sanctions and other statutory requirements, guidelines and instructions relating to governing bodies and organizations, both internally and externally.

Problem Solving: Is a step-by-step process of defining a problem, searching for information, and testing a series of solutions until the problem is solved. In involves critical thinking, analysis, and persistence.

Look for new approaches, tools, methods, or technologies to improve equipment life.

Risk Management: The process of measuring or assessing risk and then developing strategies to manage the risk. Strategies employed may include transferring the risk to another party, avoiding the risk, reducing the negative effect of the risk, and accepting some or all of the consequences of a particular risk.
