Job Description
SUMMARY:
Are you experienced in warehouse operations and have strong people management skills?
Our client in Paarden Eiland requires a reliable and detail-oriented individual to oversee daily warehouse operations and drive efficiency across stock control and dispatch for a large warehouse.
Hands-on problem-solving skills, effective leadership and a sharp eye for accuracy are essential for this role.
POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS
- Matric (Grade12) or equivalent (post-matric qualification is an advantage)
- At least two years warehouse,
- Excellent attention to detail with formidable organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Willingness to work extended hours/shifts to meet customer requirements
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Supervise stock control, including receiving, storage, and dispatching, while minimizing damages, losses, and discrepancies
- Conduct regular cycle counts, investigate, and resolve discrepancies and oversee periodic stock takes to ensure inventory accuracy
- Plan and manage logistics to ensure timely, cost-effective deliveries
- Maintain accurate stock transaction records on the computer system
- Ensure proper maintenance of warehouse infrastructure, equipment and fleet
- Lead, train and support a professional, customer-focused warehouse team
