Our well-established client in the scaffolding industry is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join their team.
Broad scope of position:
To control the scaffolding inventory and execute all functions associated with stock movement.
Performance measures:
The ability to keep stock controlled and minimise waste and stock anomalies.
Key relationships:
Internal

• Warehouse / Operations.
• Sales & Technical Support.
• Engineering.
• SHE Department.
• HR Department.

Administration Department.
External

• Company Clients.
• Suppliers.
• External Logistics Service Providers.
• External Armed Response.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Responsible for efficiently and safely handling scaffolding material by self and others.
• Ensure the correct material preparation for clients orders and reduce inventory stock discrepancies.
• Stacking, storing, and moving of scaffolding components under the control of the warehouse manager.
• To inspect the quality and condition of material returned from clients. Damaged material is to be reported and recorded accordingly.
• Ensure that the trucks and loaded containers can accommodate the material dimensions, weights, and quantities.
• Assisting the warehouse manager with the monthly stock reports.
• Adhere to the Operational SOPs and work standards.
• Full understanding of the companys products and services.
• Compliance with the national health and safety Act and Regulations.
• Decreasing waste in warehouse functions.
• General housekeeping.
• Comply with all reasonable and lawful instructions, functions, and duties as are from time to time assigned by the warehouse manager.
• Conducting stock checks based on the information as provided by the sales and technical departments.
• Conducting stock movement and stock take counts.
• Operating a forklift.
• Overseeing the annual stock take and participating in the counts.

Minimum requirements:

• Grade 12 or relevant qualification.
• 3+ years in similar position (warehouse/yard/etc.)
• A valid forklift license would be advantageous.
• A valid driver''s license would be advantageous.
• Good computer literacy would be advantageous and includes but is not limited to the following:
• Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook
• VIS (In-house training will be provided)
• SAP (In-house training will be provided)
