Job Description
Job Summary There is a Position available in Durban for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to supervise a team of warehouse personnel to ensure the provision of professional incoming goods, storage and dispatch service to customers. Ensure all warehouse rules and procedures are adhered to. Expected duties: Plan, optimize, and allocate the available resources on a daily basis. Coordinate the activities with the other participants (Internal/External and operation). Manage all staff in warehouse. Control the application of general instructions (Internal regulations, Security, Quality, Safety, Environmental, Stacking and Storing). Monitor the roll-out and the proper use of resources necessary to execute the activities (good condition of equipment, and use of consumables). Monitor carrier's / vessel movements in order to mitigate any delays. Control the safety resources for hazardous goods. Identify, flag, or handle any errors identified, within the limit of their responsibilities. Ensure adherence to health and safety and additional rules. KPI reporting to be implemented and reported monthly. Ensure profitability of activity (Staff, Services) Minimum requirements for this position are as follows: Appropriate qualification, at least 5 years of previous experience in warehouse operations. Extremely Literate in Excel, Word and Outlook. Basic salary on offer: R 35 000.00 to R 40 000.00 negotiable depending on experience.
