Warehouse Supervisor | Cape Town | Tile and building industry

We are searching for a dynamic and competent Warehouse Supervisor to join our clients' organisation in Paarden Eiland, Cape Town. Working hours are Monday to Friday 08h00 - 17h00, Saturday 08h00 - 15h00 and alternative Sundays and Public Holidays 09h00 - 14h00.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, organize, supervise, and participate in daily warehouse operation and activities.
• Manage the receiving, unpack, load, issue, store and deliver orders, local, national and into neighbouring countries.
• Supervise, preparing orders for delivery, load vehicles, schedule and oversee deliveries and pick-ups.
• Manage the loading of trucks and weight distribution to comply with weigh bridge requirements.
• Ensure customers delivery times are managed when planning delivery schedules.
• Plan wholesale deliveries with outsourced transporters.
• Liaise with Labour agencies to arrange temp drivers.
• Debriefing of all drivers prior and after the deliveries.
• Constant communication with wholesale team to ensure all orders are delivered timeously.
• Responsible for all IBTs loads to Distribution.
• Assist in planning and executing the February and September Counts
• Prepare and maintain a variety of records and logs and prepare reports as required.
• Use Kerridge inventory management to keep accurate records of inventory and daily processing of IBTs, invoicing and cycle counts.
• Perform various other tasks within the scope of this role as delegated by senior management when the need arises.

• Be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly
• Keen attention to detail
• Excellent time keeping and work ethic/ attendance record
• Experience in Warehouse operations, procedures, equipment, and terminology

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12
• Warehousing qualification advantageous
• Minimum 3 years experience in warehousing environment, in supervisory or similar roles
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends and public holidays as required

Salary : CTC will be R10 000 xe2x80x93 R 12 000
