Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in inventory management? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Stock Supervisor to join our retail industry team. With a minimum of 2 years of experience and a diploma or bachelor's qualification, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient stock management within our organization. **Responsibilities:** - Monitor and maintain inventory levels to meet customer demands and prevent stockouts.
- Conduct regular stock counts, reconciling physical stock with system records.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate stock deliveries.
- Inspect incoming stock for quality, quantity, and compliance with purchase orders.
- Identify and investigate stock discrepancies, researching and resolving any issues.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage and stock losses.
- Update and maintain stock records, including stock movements, adjustments, and transfers.
- Generate regular reports on stock levels, stock movements, and inventory performance.
- Collaborate with the purchasing team to forecast stock requirements and monitor stock trends.
- Optimize stock storage and organization to maximize space utilization and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the stock management process.
- Assist in the implementation and improvement of stock management systems and processes.
- Provide support to other teams regarding stock-related inquiries and requirements. -Manage a team of warehouse stock assistants. **Qualifications and Skills:** - Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in stock control or inventory management, preferably in the retail industry.
- Strong knowledge of stock control principles, practices, and procedures.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Excel for data analysis.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work independently.
- Knowledge of stocktaking methodologies and cycle counting techniques.
- Understanding of supply chain and logistics processes.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and their application in stock management is a plus.
