Our client in the steel industry is seeking a full-time, in-office, Warehouse Operations Coordinator. This role will involve coordinating and expediting all aspects of warehouse operations, including logistics, dispatch, customer service, and order accuracy. The successful candidate will work closely with the Sales and Operations teams to ensure clear communication, effective customer collections, and the smooth handling of walk-in customers. Accurate reporting and timely feedback to all departments are essential.
The ideal candidate is well-spoken, customer-focused, a strong problem-solver, and highly computer literate, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Logistics Coordination:
Strategise and oversee daily logistics activities, ensuring timely dispatch and delivery of shipments.
Confirm order accuracy, including product quantity, quality, and documentation, before dispatch.
Track shipments to prevent delays and address any transportation challenges
Customer Service and Collections:
Manage walk-in customers and coordinate efficient customer collections.
Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers regarding order status, lead times, and resolutions for issues.
Serve as the primary point of contact between customers and the Sales team for logistics-related queries.
Cross Departmental Communication:
Collaborate with Sales and Operations to ensure smooth communication, addressing potential bottlenecks in the process
Coordinate with the warehouse and dispatch teams to align daily delivery schedules with sales priorities.
Process Optimisation:
Monitor and analyse lead times, identifying areas for improvement to minimise delays.
Implement strategies to reduce order processing breakdowns and enhance delivery efficiency.
Support initiatives to optimise customer collection processes and improve satisfaction.
