Job Description

Responsible for directing and managing warehouse personnel and activities including shipping, receiving, storage and inventory control to achieve operational goals. Responsible for the administration of the warehouse including budgets and cost management. Responsible for warehouse facility and equipment management.

Key Responsibilities - but not limited to the below:

Oversee and manage the daily operations of the warehouse to ensure efficiency and accuracy in receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods. Maintain and manage accurate inventory control, ensuring regular stock counts, reconciliations, and resolving stock discrepancies promptly. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and housekeeping standards within the warehouse environment. Lead, supervise, and motivate warehouse staff, monitoring performance, attendance, and adherence to operational procedures. Manage the receiving and inspection of all incoming stock, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders and delivery notes. Ensure the timely and correct dispatch of customer orders in line with delivery schedules and service level agreements. Oversee the maintenance and safe operation of warehouse equipment and machinery. Monitor and control stock movements, including returns, damaged stock, and obsolete items. Maintain and optimise warehouse layout and space utilisation for operational efficiency. Compile and submit operational reports, including stock levels, dispatch summaries, and productivity metrics to management. Liaise with internal departments such as procurement, sales, and logistics to support operational needs and resolve issues. Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and operational standards within the warehouse.
