Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Inventory Management

o Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.

o Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile variances.

o Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to manage stock levels and ensure availability of products.

2. Receiving and despatch

o Oversee receiving operations to ensure timely and accurate processing of incoming stock.

o Coordinate outbound shipments, including order picking, packing, and despatching.

3. Staff Management

o Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse personnel.

o Assign duties and monitor performance to ensure productivity targets are met.

o Provide coaching and feedback to develop staff members.

o Ensure HR policies are implemented consistently and fairly.

4. Health and Safety Compliance

o Communicates safety rules and regulations, ensuring compliance with health and safety policies.

o Develop and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all warehouse staff.

o Conduct regular safety training sessions and inspections.

o Investigate and address any safety incidents or concerns. Escalate where necessary.

5. Housekeeping

o Ensures that housekeeping policies and procedures are implemented and monitored consistently.

6. Process Optimization

o Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

o Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to streamline operations and improve accuracy.

7. Ad Hoc Duties

o The completion of Ah hoc duties from time to time.

Collaboration

o Coordinate with stores and customers to ensure that good are available.

o Coordinate with other departments in manufacturing process to ensure on time in full delivery.
