Main purpose of the job:

Responsibilities & duties:

Greets residents and presents them with the menu.

Inform residents of current special items for the day and menu changes, if any.

Suggest and take food and beverage orders from the resident while upselling.

Action coffee orders as per residents' request.

. Prepare and serve beverages based on resident preferences and menu specifications.

Obtain revenues, issuing receipts, accepting payments, returning the change.

Performing daily cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor/manager.

. Moving of furniture to assist with clubhouse set up for residents and events.

. Knowledge of drink recipes, ingredients, and proper techniques is essential.

Filling in for absent staff when needed.

Placing orders on the POS machine and ensure special requirements are captured. E.g.: No Garlic, less spicy etc., without egg etc. Communicating these special requirements with the kitchen.

Punctual and effective communication in a timely manner.

Co - ordinate with the fellow waiters, kitchen staff, bar staff to ensure smooth operation and residents' satisfaction.

Serve food and beverages to the residents as per the course of order or instructed by supervisor / clubhouse manager.

Promptly respond to residents with any additional request.

Maintaining proper dining experience and basic service etiquette, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses.

Actioning the opening and closing procedures and ensuring that the clubhouse is clean and set for the following day before leaving.

Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.

Stock and maintain the restaurant par stock levels. Actioning monthly stock take with the supervisor / clubhouse manager. Submitting daily check sheets to the supervisor / clubhouse manager every shift.

Help in other areas of the clubhouse where needed from time to time.

Action daily cash up and banking with its respective reports, including the safe drop of cash with the front office / clubhouse manager. Close the shift on the POS terminal

Tally the Credit Card settlements for the day with the batch closing report from EDC machine.

Ensuring that all procedures and checklist have been signed and completed including banking before end of shift.

REQUIREMENTS:

. 2-3 years previous experience as a Waiter/Barista.

. Own transport or reliable means of transport is important.

. Must have basic knowledge of cocktails and wines.

. Good communication skills, verbal and written.

. Must be customer service orientated.

. Ability to maintain a professional working relationship with all departments.

. Must be comfortable with handling complaints in a professional manner.

. Must be able to follow and action instructions delegate by the clubhouse manager.

. Punctual & self-disciplined.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: R6500,00 - R7000,00 per month
