Vineyard Worker

Job Description
Main responsibilities
- Operating tractors to perform tasks such as mowing, spraying, raking, and coupling/uncoupling of tractor implements
- Responsible for pesticide applications to the vineyard under direction of vineyard manager
- Assist with vineyard work: pruning, shoot thinning, shoot positioning, fruit thinning, leaf thinning, grape maturity sampling, grape harvesting and transportation
- Preferably 2 years previous experience as a Vineyard Worker
- Familiarity with the agriculture
- Truck/Driver license
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- The ability to lift heavy objects
- The ability to remain on your feet for long periods of time
- Ability to understand, read & write in English or Afrikaans
- Willing to learn
- Willing to work overtime (including weekends)
- Basic understanding/knowledge of irrigation
- Honest, Flexibility and Accountability
- Punctual & self-disciplined
