Job Description
ECHO Foundation was founded in 1991. It is a registered Section 21 Company, established as a non-profit company. The Foundation houses over 1,500 residents within its villages and frail care facilities.
ECHO Foundation is looking for a Village Supervisor to join the team. The successful candidate would need to live in the Village.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure the health and safety of all Residents continuously. Responsible for confirming the wellbeing of all Residents daily. Supervise staff and ensure all work is carried out. Attend meetings with Resident committees & at Head office. Inspect Village regularly and ensure general maintenance are done as required. Oversee contractors whilst on site.
Qualifications required:
Grade 12
Skills required:
Strong administrative and organizational skills. Staff management skills. Customer service orientated. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Basic general maintenance knowledge. Excellent written and verbal communication skills (fluent in English and Afrikaans). Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practices. Attention to detail. Works well under pressure and meets deadlines. Proficient in MS Office. Good time management skills.
Work Experience:
2 - 3 years' service industry experience. 2 years' experience in a supervisory position. Experience within the retirement sector will be advantageous.
On site cottage provided.
Commencement date: 1 March 2026
Location: Port Elizabeth
