Village Supervisor - Port ElizabethECHO Foundation was founded in 1991. It is a registered Section 21 Company, established as a non-profit company. The Foundation houses over 1,500 residents within its villages and frail care facilities.ECHO Foundation is looking for a Village Supervisor to join the Resident Care Services team and will report to the Head of this division. The successful candidate would be required to reside in the retirement village located in Summerstrand.Core Duties and Responsibilities:Daily communication with residents xe2x80x93 individually each morning and via media groupsDaily Supervision of village staff & external contractors carrying out duties on siteLiaison with emergency and surveillance services; resident committees & management of ECHO xe2x80x93 social, nursing care and maintenance personnel.Carry out duties as an OHS representative, fire marshal and First aider for the village; first responder in all emergency situations; investigate incidents.Inspect Village regularly and ensure general maintenance is done as required.Administration xe2x80x93 weekly reports on resident well-being and maintenance; food orders; water & electricity meter reading submissions; logging of job cards; maintain panic button database.Essential Knowledge required:Fluent verbal and written communication in English & Afrikaans; Mathematical literacy (Minimum of Grade 12 level)Advantageous xe2x80x93 would be your basic knowledge of health, safety & general building regulations/practises and knowledge of care of the elderly/retirement industry.Essential Skills required:Valid unendorsed motor vehicle driverxe2x80x99s licenseStrong administrative and organizational skills; Ability to multi-task.Strong communication and customer service skills.Ability to work independently but also as part of a team.Strong computer skills xe2x80x93 proficiency in MS office (Intermediate level)Aptitude for working under pressure, meeting deadlines and detail orientation.Advantageous/preferred demonstrated experience in:xc2xb7 A highly customer care-oriented field (e.g. hospitality/nursing/caring)xc2xb7 Experience in the care of the elderly or the retirement industryxc2xb7 General supervisory experience.xc2xb7 Health, safety, and general building maintenanceOn site accommodation included in remuneration package (cost of water & electricity excluded).Commencement date: To be confirmed (Available from January 2024).Location: Port ElizabethRemuneration package and benefits will be discussed with all applicants invited to attend an interview.Should you not hear from us within two weeks, please consider your application as unsuccessful.Job Type: PermanentEducation:High School (matric) (Preferred)Language:English (Required)Afrikaans (Required)License/Certification:Driver's license (Required)
