Job Description

We're looking for a

high-energy, social-first Videographer

to join our social media team and help capture and create engaging video content across campaigns, events and day to-day brand moments, across both

Burnt Men

and

Burnt Women

.

This role sits under the

Social Media Manager

and works closely with our social media specialists to consistently produce

Reels, short-form video and motion content

that feels current, exciting and built for performance.

You'll be on the ground capturing content at product shoots, events, store openings and athlete trip, often turning around content quickly to keep our socials timely, relevant and engaging. A strong understanding of

social media tactics, hooks and what makes content perform

is essential.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role for someone full of ideas, comfortable moving quickly, and eager to hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities



Campaign & Brand Content:



Capture video content for campaigns, launches and key brand moments. Shoot

Founder-led content

, Athlete & Partner content, including interviews, talking-to-camera pieces, day-to-day moments, and top up shoots that build brand personality and connection. Create

filler and always-on content

to support quieter moments in the feed and maintain consistent social output. Work closely with the social media team to ensure all content aligns with brand tone, messaging and rollout plans.

BTS & Day-to-Day Content:



Support product launches for

Burnt Men

and

Burnt Women

. Capture organic, in-the-moment footage that feels authentic and social-first.

Reels & Short-Form Video:



Create engaging Reels and short-form video content optimised for Instagram and other social platforms. Apply strong hooks, pacing and storytelling techniques to maximise reach, engagement and performance.

Events, Travel & On-the-Ground Coverage:



Travel for athlete trips, store openings, campaigns and brand events. Capture and deliver content in real-time or with fast turnaround to keep socials timely and relevant.

Fast Turnaround Editing:



Edit and deliver content quickly, particularly during events, and campaign periods. Balance speed with quality to ensure content is polished, on-brand and ready for posting.

Creative Input & Idea Generation:



Proactively bring

content ideas, trends and concepts

to the table. Identify opportunities for filler content, recurring formats and new storytelling approaches. In the know of social trends, formats and viral styles and adapt them for the brand.

Collaboration & Workflow:



Work closely with the Social Media Manager and social media specialists to plan, shoot and deliver content. Hand over edited assets efficiently to support scheduling and publishing workflows and deadlines.

Requirements



Education & Experience:



Practical experience in

Film, Media, Communications or a related field

, Experience creating video content for

social media or digital platforms

. Demonstrated experience shooting and editing short-form, performance-led video. A portfolio of all content shot. Experience in creative industries such as fashion, media, or advertising is often preferred.

Technical Skills:



Strong proficiency in

Adobe Creative Suite

(mainly Premiere Pro & After Effects). Understanding of social media video specs, formats and best practices. Basic knowledge of lighting and audio for social video.

Creative & Visual Skills:



Strong eye for composition, pacing and storytelling. Ability to create content that feels

authentic, energetic and scroll-stopping

. Clear understanding of hooks, trends and visual language that performs well on social.

Organisational Skills:



Ability to manage multiple shoots, edits and deadlines in a fast paced environment. Comfortable working to tight timelines and shifting priorities. Organised with footage, file management and content delivery.

Interpersonal Skills:



Energetic, positive and confident when working with founders, athletes, talent and team members. Strong communicator who collaborates well across teams. Open to feedback and direction while contributing creative ideas.

Flexibility & Adaptability:



Willingness to travel regularly for shoots, events and campaigns. Comfortable working some weekends or outside standard hours when required (with rest days provided). Able to adapt quickly to changing schedules, locations and content needs.

The position is full time (08:30 - 17:00) Start Date: March 2026 Offices are based in Woodstock, Cape Town / moving to Milnerton soon.
