As the Vice President of Digital Business and Data Engineering, you will be a key leader responsible for driving the digital transformation and data engineering initiatives within the organization. You will lead a dynamic team of professionals, overseeing the development and implementation of digital solutions, data strategies, and engineering processes to support the company's business objectives. This role requires a strategic thinker, a strong technical background, and the ability to lead and inspire a cross-functional team.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Transformation Strategy:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive digital transformation strategy aligned with the company's business goals.
• Identify opportunities to leverage emerging technologies to enhance business operations, customer experiences, and revenue growth.

Data Engineering:

• Lead data engineering initiatives, including data warehousing, ETL processes, and data governance.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security while optimizing data accessibility and usability.
• Foster a data-driven culture within the organization.

Team Leadership:

• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of digital and data professionals.
• Set clear objectives, provide guidance, and assess performance to drive team success.
• Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams and departments.

Technology Stack Management:

• Oversee the selection, implementation, and maintenance of technology stacks, tools, and platforms necessary for digital and data initiatives.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices to drive innovation.

Project Management:

• Manage the execution of digital projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, and operations, to align digital initiatives with overall business objectives.

Risk Management:

• Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with digital and data projects.
• Establish robust security and compliance measures to protect sensitive data.

Budget Management:

• Develop and manage the budget for the digital business and data engineering department.
• Ensure efficient allocation of resources to meet project requirements.

Vendor and Partner Relationships:

• Evaluate and manage relationships with external vendors and technology partners.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements to optimize value and performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Proven experience (typically 10+ years) in digital business strategy, data engineering, and technology leadership roles.
• Strong understanding of data management, data analytics, and digital technologies.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into technology solutions.
• Strong project management and budgeting skills.
• Knowledge of emerging digital trends and technologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in a similar role within the same industry.
• Relevant certifications in data engineering, digital strategy, or related fields.
• Knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and big data technologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
