Summary
Our client, a bustling and well-established small animal veterinary clinic, is seeking a dedicated, professional and experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join their friendly and fast-paced team. This is a key front-of-house role, ideal for someone who thrives in a clinical environment and understands the day-to-day workings of a veterinary practice.
The successful candidate will bring solid knowledge of veterinary practice procedures, practice management systems and over-the-counter veterinary products, along with a calm, organised and client-focused approach. As the first point of contact for clients and their pets, this role requires excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for animal care.

Description

• Welcoming clients and patients and managing the reception area
• Scheduling appointments and coordinating diary bookings
• Handling incoming calls, emails and client enquiries professionally
• Processing admissions, discharges and payments
• Assisting clients with over-the-counter products and basic product advice
• Managing client records and updating practice management systems
• Supporting the veterinary team with general administrative duties
• Maintaining a high standard of customer service at all times

Minimum Requirements

• Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist is essential
• A passion for animals and their well-being
• Excellent communication skills and a sparkling, friendly personality
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Computer proficiency
• Flexibility to work varying shifts
