Summary
Our client, a bustling and highly specialised Small Animal Veterinary Hospital, has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Anaesthesia and ICU Veterinary Nurse to join their skilled team.
This role is ideally suited to a senior nurse with at least 9 years of hands-on experience, preferably gained within a referral or specialist practice. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong nursing foundation with advanced anaesthesia and ICU skillsets, coupled with a genuine passion for continuous professional development and the advancement of their clinical knowledge.
The ideal Veterinary Nurse will be confident working independently, while also excelling as a collaborative manager within a multidisciplinary team environment. Exceptional communication skills are essential, as is the ability to deliver advanced levels of nursing care in a high-pressure yet supportive hospital setting. The role requires excellent multitasking abilities, with unwavering attention to detail at all times.

Description

• Management of anaesthesia for surgical procedures,
• ICU nursing care, and the treatment of critically ill patients, including those requiring medical ventilation.
• Willingness and availability to be on-call after hours for emergency surgical anaesthesia and critical patient interventions will be viewed as a strong advantage.

Minimum Requirements

• Dip/Degree in Veterinary Nursing
• SAVC Registration
• Updated CPD Points
• Expereince in a similar role
• Excellent Communication Skills, Verbal and Written
• Relationship Building Abilities
• Sales Skills will be an advantage
• Valid Driver's License

Skills Required
